Terms of Service

The Service is operated by MiDa Innovations Pty Ltd (ABN 42 665 670 137) of Sydney, Australia (“Brikly”, “we”, “us”).

By accessing or using Brikly (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Brikly is a property portfolio tracking tool for Australian investors. It keeps your properties, loans, rental income, expenses, and tax depreciation in one place, and shows cashflow, equity, and tax-position figures for each property.

The Service also includes informational guides explaining how the proposed 2027 negative gearing and capital gains tax changes work, together with a general impact checker based on dates you enter. Optional, user-authorised connections let the Service ingest property-related documents from your email and import transactions from your bank feeds, where those integrations are offered. You can also generate a read-only share link that lets anyone holding the link view your reports without an account; links expire after 90 days and can be revoked at any time.

The Service uses AI models solely to parse and extract data from documents you provide (such as rental statements, rates notices, and depreciation schedules). There is no AI assistant or chat feature. The Service does not provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice (see section 3).

The information, calculations, and AI-extracted figures provided by the Service are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You should consult a qualified financial adviser, tax professional, or accountant before making investment or tax decisions.

Calculations and estimates shown in the Service may be based on data you enter and may not reflect your actual financial position. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of any calculations.

New accounts begin with a 14-day free trial. No payment card is required to start the trial, and all Portfolio-plan features are unlocked for its duration.

After the 14-day trial ends, continued access to paid features requires an active paid subscription. Because no card is collected to start the trial, you are not charged automatically when it ends. You choose whether to subscribe to a paid plan. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.

Paid plans are: Starter at $9 per month or $90 per year; Investor at $19 per month or $190 per year; and Portfolio at $39 per month or $390 per year. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payment is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then. Refunds are provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply in addition to these Terms.

• You must be 18 years or older to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at hello@brikly.com.au.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service using automated means.
• Attempt to reverse engineer any part of the Service.
• Attempt to manipulate or abuse the document-parsing pipeline, including submitting documents crafted to produce misleading extractions or to interfere with processing.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process that data for the purpose of providing the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

The Service uses third-party AI models to process documents you forward or upload (such as rental statements, rates notices, insurance renewals, and depreciation schedules) and extract financial figures from them. You should not submit documents containing information that you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.

Extracted values may contain errors. Where an extraction is uncertain, the Service asks you to review and approve it before it is applied. You should verify important figures against the source document.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
